Martindale Hubbell Ratings MYRON E. EAST

For over eighteen years, Myron East managed his own firm, first under the name of East & Barnhill, and thereafter as East & East, P.C. In January, 2004, he merged his practice into Barton & Schneider, L.L.P., where he now practices as a partner. This firm is now known as Barton, East & Caldwell, L.L.P.

In July 2001, TEXAS LAWYER published an article entitled Making It In the Boutique Biz. The article identified Texas firms with 2 to 20 attorneys that offer specialized legal services "while giving the big firms a run for their money." Statewide, only 12 firms were identified in the area of real estate law. East & East, P.C. was a San Antonio, Texas, firm, so identified in the article. Barton & Schneider, L.L. P. was similarly identified.

There follows pertinent information regarding Mr. East and his legal activities.

The Forum at Olympia shopping center in the Northeast sector of the San Antonio metropolitan area illustrates the breadth of service provided by Mr. East. Mr. East acted as lead counsel in the acquisition and pre-development of the Forum project, a large tract of land located within three separate municipalities, which, when completed, is anticipated to be the situs of the largest open-air shopping center within the State of Texas. Project work performed by Mr. East and his associates included the negotiation and preparation of four separate contracts for the acquisition of this large tract; a declaration of covenants, conditions and easements; an operations and easements agreement; a site development agreement; the construction contract for the extensive site work required for this development; brokerage and development services agreements for the project; and representation of the involved Texas developer in partnering with a New York Stock Exchange Real Estate Investment Trust.
