Mr. Caldwell's practice has included a wide range of commercial litigation, with special emphasis on financial product litigation, class actions, and representation of heavy equipment dealers. Mr. Caldwell is one of the leading attorneys in representing investors in life insurance products, especially teachers who purchased 403(b) products. The suits filed by Mr. Caldwell helped win passage of SB 273 in the 2001 Texas Legislature, which completely revamped the 403(b) market for Texas educators. Mr. Caldwell also was chosen to testify numerous times in the Texas Legislature on class action and tort reform bills. His efforts on behalf of teachers and other investors have been featured in the Texas Lawyer, The Wall Street Journal, syndicated columnist Scott Burns, the Associated Press, and numerous other national and local publications.
In addition, Mr. Caldwell has extensive trial experience for equipment dealers and others in the areas of collection, deceptive trade practices, investor fraud, real estate, construction and bankruptcy litigation. Mr. Caldwell has been named one of the "Best Lawyers" by S.A, Scene in the area of Business Litigation several times.
